Master of Arts in Art Performance and Digital Arts Communication

This curriculum emphasizes professional study in art performance and modern communications including social media and mobile devices. The instructors are professionals in the areas of convergence communications. Tools will be used to support learning activities. Pedagogically, problem learning is applied in all courses. Students will have opportunities to learn and create various art performances and media for various domains and distributed via both traditional channels and social media channels. It is our goal to educate a new class of graduates with competency in both art perfromance and digital arts with high ethical standard.

Dean Message

Welcome to the School of Liberal Arts at Shinawatra University

The School of Liberal Arts has been offering programs and courses for several years.   We have realized the fast pace changes resulted from the advanced technology – then the world becomes one village.

Our programs  therefore focus on communication of various types, in particular, Art Performance and Digital Arts.  Both programs have gained more and more popularity among the new generations, as these program are gates to the world of both actuality and imagination.  With the concept of  everyone is  unique, we hence encourage  those who study with us show their own competencies.

Lieutenant Commander Dr.Wuttipong Pongsuwan

Lieutenant Commander Dr.Wuttipong graduated Bachelor Engineering from the Royal Thai Naval Academy and received a Master of Science in Computer Science from Naval Postgraduate School, Monterey, USA. He earned a Ph.D. in Computer Science and Information Technology from Asian Institute of Technology.

Lieutenant Commander Dr.Wuttipong was the Deputy Director of Software Industry Promotion Agency, a Commissioner at National Research Council of Thailand, Dean of Graduate Studies at Assumption University, University Council Committee at Webster University, University Council Committee at Northern University, Information Technology Development Commissioner, Executive Committee at NECTEC, Advisor to Computer Section at Thai Military Bank and etc.

He is currently the Director of the Ph.D. Media Information and Communication Program. His research interests include multimedia and interactive systems, social media analytics, man-machine interaction. He is also the inventor of the Desktop Studio for broadcasting, and MOOC content creation.

Assoc. Prof. Dr.Kantatip Singhaneti

Assoc. Prof. Dr.Kantatip earned an honours degree upon graduating from the Faculty of Arts, Chulalongkorn University Thailand. She won a Fulbright scholarship (open competition) to pursue her master’s degree in Teaching English as a Foreign Language at Michigan State University, U.S., and received a P.E.O scholarship for her doctoral degree at the same specialization at the University of Texas, Austin.

Assoc.Prof.Dr.Kantatip has been working with Chulalongkorn University in the Faculty of Arts and Language Institute, in Sasin Graduate Institute of Business Administration of Chulalongkorn University respectively before joining Shinawatra University as the Program Director of Master’s Degree in Teaching English as an International Language. She is keen in research and has published over 70 international papers with a few books on English teaching practice.

Qualification for Admission

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
  • A cumulative grade point average of 2.0 or its equivalent
  • Good command of English
  • Computer literacy
