On Monday, February 21, SoMT’s 2nd- and 3rd-year students went on a field trip to ‘SCG Experience’ & ‘Crystal Design Center.’ The main goal of the trip was to study how Thailand’s building material industry implements sustainable thinking into their product development to help reduce global warming.

Highly accomplished and experienced guest speakers are a regular feature at Shinawatra University. The students of the Business Development Study course of BBA program recently had Khun Prateek Rajvanshi as the guest speaker to the class. Khun Prateek is Executive Assistant to the owner and Group CEO of Indorama Ventures, Khun Aloke Lohia. The Stock Exchange of Thailand listed Indorama Ventures (SET:IVL) is the world’s leading polyester manufacturer with $5 Bn sales from 25 factories across 4 continents.

The School of Information Technology recently organized a workshop on the Idea Marathon Systems™, featuring its inventor Mr. Takeo Higuchi, a former General Manager of Mitsui & Co., Ltd. and a world-renowned instructor on creativity. The Idea Marathon System is an innovative method of capturing and developing ideas on paper. It has been practiced by over 5,000 people worldwide in corporations such as Toshiba, Daikin and Pioneer.
