Admission Requirements
Academic year starts every August. Please check for application periods at reg.siu.ac.th.
- High School Graduation or equivalence
- Thai Education System: High School
- International Educational System:
- GED
- NZQA, GCSE, IGCSE, GCE “0” or “A” level, IB
(must be approved by the Ministry of Education, Royal Thai Government)
- English Proficiency: Applicant can choose only one of the following English test score.
2.1 Language(s) of instruction:
Remark: The score must be within 2 years of the application date.
2.2 In case of applications who do not obtain the required English test score must take SIU Advanced English
Application Documents
1) A completely filled-in and signed application form with a 1-inch photo attached. The application form can be downloaded at www.siu.ac.th.
2) A copy of high school level education transcript and certificate. Applicant who has completed a high school level (or equivalent) from an academic institute abroad must submit High School Equivalency Certificate issued by the Ministry of Education, Royal Thai Government.
3) A copy of passport
4) A copy of official English language test score (The score must be within 2 years of the application date.)
5) Application fee of THB 1,000. The applicant who applies by postal mail shall attach all required documents and a copy of bank deposit slip or a copy of money order mentioning the applicant’s name with the application form. The application fee can be paid through one of the followings:
– Paid by cash or credit card (Visa, Master or JCB) when applying in person at Finance office of Main Campus, (1st Floor, Main Hall Building) 99 Moo 10, Bang Toey, Sam Khok District, Pathum Thani, 12160 or BBD Building (Graduate Building), 197 Viphavade-Rangsit Road, Samsen Nai, Phayathai, Bangkok 10900

High School Equivalency Certification
An applicant who completed a high school level (or equivalent) from an international educational system or from an academic institute abroad must submit High School Equivalency Certificate issued by the Ministry of Education, Royal Thai Government before you can be offered a place on the program. The Ministry of Education charges 500 baht for equivalent process fee. The high school equivalency process may be take up to 3 (three) months.
Obtaining a Visa to Study in Thailand (For International Students)
Once all the documents have been approved by the Ministry of Education and a student has been accepted onto the program, SIU will send a letter of acceptance and an official note certifying the purpose of travel in Thai and translated copy in English to the applicant. Then, the student has to submit both the acceptance letter and all certified documents to the Royal Thai Embassy in their relevant country to ask for a NON-IMMIGRANT STUDENT VISA. It may take up to 3 (three) months to complete the high school equivalency process. International students need to renew their visa after the first 90 days and report to the Immigration Bureau every 90 days.
Registration of Courses
Students will be invited to register for the program with SIU and pay the first semester’s tuition fee, educational fee and other fees (SIU requirements). SIU staff will help and advise you through this process.

The educational and tuition fees can be viewed at www.siu.ac.th.
Remark: SIU reserves the rights to change any fees without prior notice. Students are responsible for any additional money transfer fees to SIU’s bank account.
Admission Processes
Step I: Application Form and Fee
The application form can be downloaded at www.siu.ac.th. and pay the application fee of THB 1,000.
Step II: Required Documents
The list of required documents must be attached to the application form. The list of required documents can be viewed at Application Documents.
All the required documents with the application form will be collected and sent by the applicant via e-mail (amd@siu.ac.th) or post office or applying in person.
Step III: High School Equivalency (For International Students)
International student will need to get an equivalency of your degree from the Ministry of Education in Thailand before you can be offered a place on the program.
Step IV: Visa to Study in Thailand (For International Students)
